"Oops. I ripped my pants."
Let me just say that I am all for sarcastic comments and teasing banters, but when one's comments become insulting rather than funny, there's a problem. It's just, people do not know when to quit and they act like a two year old who has one joke in their portfolio. It's the only joke they can tell and after a while, it just becomes...what's the word I'm looking for...IRKSOME!
It's like that episode of Spongebob when Spongebob ripped his pants and everyone found it absolutely hysterical for all of ten seconds. Then he took it too far and people started getting pissed off because he couldn't just get a new joke. So, instead of being creative with his sense of humor, Spongebob pretended to drown and nearly scared Sandy to death. Needless to say, Sandy was offended and a little put off.
Well that's me! But instead of me being pissed off at a yellow block of talking cheese, I'm upset with a jerk who feels the need to impress everyone with his smart-ass remarks about me and how I can't hold down a relationship, so obviously I'll end up with a prostitute.
....Yeah. Nice isn't he? And then he has the nerve to call me and be all like, "Are you mad at me? Did what I say really piss you off? We always talk like this to each other! Why does it offend you now?"
Like, really....really? REALLY? The real question is; why am I not punching your face in for your rude comments?
I just give up with him.

Hell Week
So, next week (tomorrow) I will be engaging in the most tiring and annoying week of the entire school year...wait! I take that back! Finals and midterms are the worst weeks of school, but this is a close second. I say that only because for the next five days, I will practically be LIVING at school. There are constant rehearsals that last until six o'clock and concerts that run until ten o'clock.
I want to pull my hair out.
My voice will be shot!
And on top of everything, I have been slacking on my Delaware Allstate Choir audition.

Ugh.
I feel like no matter what I do, I can't grow up. Like, the more I try, the further a further I drift from becoming more mature and more like an adult. I just feel so pathetic. And tears only make me feel more so. I know I shouldn't be wasting time, having a pity party for myself and I should instead be trying to fix the situation, but I can't help it.
I messed up at work today. The owner of the restaurant was there to see. I was told not to make another mistake again or I've "Got to go." I think my manager was more upset that I messed up in front of the owner more that anything. And to top it off, the customer called back a flipped out on my boss. I felt terrible. Aweful!
My parents are finally letting me get my license on Thurday. I need this job to pay insurance. And I just really do not want to disappoint them. They were so proud of me when I first got my job and if I was fired they'd be so upset with me. I'd be a child all over again. I'd have no independence and I'd have to rely on them for everything. I'm sixteen and in two years I'll have to leave home to go to college. How am I supposed to take care of myself if I can't even hold down a job?
I just feel so disappointed in myself...

I'm back!
Okay, so after a month of not being able to write (call it a severe case of writers block) I can finally think of a new topic!
These next two weeks are going to be a stressful one. There the whole spirit week thing. I'm in the Glee and Powder Puff Team. I've been practicing non-stop at school on top of homework and work. Hell Week hasn't even started yet, and I'm already feeling the pressure. And if we're being honest, our powder puff team (at least the football portion) is a disaster. We meet the bare minimum requirements as far players go. Seven people total. Granted, we all get along and we've bonded pretty well this past week, but I mean, it's going to be rough.
The next week is supposed to be Showstoppers week and I have a recording session in Philly with my choir. We have rehearsals and concerts all week. I don't think I'll get to see my family dinner table for seven days. And as an added bonus, I get to tell my boss I won't be working. Talking about that with my family is already stressful enough, I really don't feel like having that conversation with my less-than-chipper manager. Whooo.
Things I can expect from this week: Breakouts, stress, stress, moodswings, more stress, repeat the cycle.
Yay Life.

Friends You Can Count On
There are some friends that are just there for you no matter what. They always respond when you text them, they listen to you rant, and they are always willing to lend a hand (or a hug) when you're in need. Without them--let's face it--you'd be a little on the insane side right now. So this is a shout out to my friends that are always there!
Emily- You're the best :) I love our lipstick shopping dates and our impromptu sleepovers. You're there no matter what. What would I do without you? Keep smiling :)
Sam- You're a very wise individual who is the smartest at everything. I'd fail Spanish without you. There is no doubt in my mind that you will end up successful, rich, and happy somewhere in the Bahamas...or Costa Rica. Take your pick.

Between the Lines
I cringe every time I enter that awkward stage in the beginning of what you hope will turn out to be a relationship. It's like, you have no idea what to do with yourself. You stare at the phone constantly and you're always looking around, hoping--praying! That maybe you'll see that face you've been wanting to see all day. For lack of a better word, you feel pathetic. And no amount of reassurance from your best friend can cure that terrible paranoia you feel. It practically screams at you saying, "You're making this up. It's not going to happen." And perhaps the only remedy is to hear it from that one person's lips that you weren't just going crazy, that they feel it too.
Look, all I'm saying is; I feel like I'm trapped in some relationship limbo. Just when I think I'm on the right track to one, the truth suddenly comes crashing down on me. And even if it's happening for real this time, I can't help but wonder...whose to say that it won't come crumbling again? All I feel is this nauseating combination of giddy butterflies, and anticipation of the worst. I don't want to get hurt--again, but I feel like if I don't put myself out there, I'll never know for sure...

MY BFFL EMILY!
EMILY! if you're reading this (and I know you are), know that you are so awesome! You are funny, sweet, beautiful, and you make me smile. You are one of the nicest people I know. We've been friends for only a short time, but I know we will be friends for life! I cannot wait until we have our lovely apartment together in the Big City! We'll have sleepovers every night, movie nights (you'll finally watch Clueless. A right of passage for all females) and last but not least, we'll go shopping every weekend.
It'll be wonderful <3

Lizzie Mcguire & Kate Sanders Are Friends?!
Fact of Life #2: That person who made you miserable last year can be surprisingly human. Who knew?
Once upon a time, there was a very mean girl. Let's call her Danny Devito. She made snide, vicious comments from across the room and teased my innocent disposition. I could not understand for the life of me how she could make all of these accusations about me when she barely spoke more than five pleasant words to me. I couldn't say anything in class without her telling me to shut up. It was infuriating!
Well, the year continued on this pathway and I could not have been happier for summer break to roll around. Who could ask for more? Three months spend bonding with the people who knew you best of all. I worked, played, shopped with my BFFLs, read, etc.
Then that magical time of year came around when all the boys and girls go back to school for 180 days of education. I was so hoping that I wouldn't have any classes with Danny Devito, but that would have made my life far too easy. So, multiple classes with Danny it was. I was not a happy camper to say the least.
Having flashbacks of the previous year, I was expecting the first comment out of her mouth to be something along the lines of, "Shut up." To my surprise, it was, "Hey, Jess." Shocked, and a tad confused I think all I uttered was a, "Hello..."
The most surprising happened just today. Partnered together for a class activity, we actually connected on a heart to heart level. I realized that maybe her past anger were due to ignorance of who I was and it wasn't like I took anytime to understand the science behind her angry demeanor.
I'm not saying we'll be best friends anytime soon, but I can be at peace with the fact that Danny and I are on good terms.
